Em is still sleeping this morning and I haven't seen cardiology yet but I thought I would update with what happened the remainder of the day yesterday;)
Overrall it was a better day than Monday...and about the same as Sunday. (Or at least I think those are the days...I lose track of what day it is in here)
Emily was able to eat a little...she had a box of lucky charms and 1/2 a grilled cheese.
She was awake for about 5 hours total...but napping still in between periods of awake time
She got one chest tube pulled...but we still have the painful one.
Her oxygen is holding as long as we stay on oxygen...she is on a 1/2 liter and can't come off of it without her sats dropping a lot
We did get up and walk to the "beauty shop" in another part of the hospital. She got her hair washed and her sweet nurse braided it up all cute.
The bad part about that is that her simple shuffle walk spiked her heart rate up in the 180 range:(
She is doing well with her EZ pap and is coughing a bit more
Her skin is unbelievably tight and painful for her. Hopefully this dissipates throughout the day today...she is off IV fluids
She was asleep at 7 pm last night, we had a chest X-ray this am but I haven't seen it yet. She is just still very very tired..
It is turning out to be a long recovery for her...and she is sad about that. She really just wants to go home. We both do.
Hopefully today we will make a bit more progress toward that:)
